What are the benefits for the nurse?
The nurse is getting a green card (permanent residency visa), which allows nurse's spouse (if any) to legally accompany the nurse and to legally work in his or her own occupation as well. If this nurse has any children, this visa allows them to legally accompany them and to legally attend U.S. schools. At the end of five years here in the United States, the nurse may legally apply to become a US citizen.
